SALT LAKE CITY, Dec. 9, 2003 — McKinnon-Mulherin Inc., a Salt Lake City–based strategic communication and information design firm, recently received its certification as a nationally recognized Women’s Business Enterprise through Women’s Business Enterprise Council-West (WBEC-West). WBEC-West is a regional partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the country’s premier third-party certifier for women-owned and operated businesses. “Increasing opportunities for women in business is an important goal,” said McKinnon-Mulherin copresident Shauna Bona. “We are honored to be recognized among the top women-owned businesses in the country.”
Companies such as IBM, General Dynamics, Motorola and Bank One support WBENC as it strives to foster diversity in business and eliminate barriers for women’s businesses throughout the nation.
